Tribute to Elizabeth Wilson, 1979 - 2026

Speak of me as you have always done. I'll be the voice that whispers in the breeze. I've rested my eyes and gone to sleep, But memories we've shared are yours to keep.

Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone, Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone, Silence the pianos and with muffled drum Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come. Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead Scribbling on the sky the message He Is Dead, Put crepe bows round the white necks of the public doves, Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves. He was my North, my South, my East and West, My working week and my Sunday rest, My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song; I thought that love would last for ever: I was wrong. The stars are not wanted now: put out every one; Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun; Pour away the ocean and sweep up the wood. For nothing now can ever come to any good.

Going to miss you so much 😢 Elizabeth you were such a kind loving person and I won't forgot all the time we spent together when you were young and more recently over the past 11 year 💖 you were one in a million with a heart of gold who will never be forgotten

Liz was such a lovely soul, and it was truly a privilege to care for her during my time as a student nurse. In the short time I knew her, she showed such kindness, warmth, and a gentle spirit that made her so easy to like and impossible to forget. She even gave me a beautiful card to thank me for helping make her hospital stay a little better, which meant so much to me. I will always remember Liz for her kindness and the way she touched the lives of those around her. She will be greatly missed. 💐
